September 21st - 25th, Stockholm, Sweden
The motto of this year's world congress on ITS, named “ITS in daily life” made the all-day-advantages of Telematics systems and services visible.
COOPERS was very active at the 16th congress on Intelligent Transport Systems and COOPERS partners used the possibility of discussing current research results and upcoming activities.
A milestone was the presentation of the first public test drive of the project. COOPERS demonstrated visitors the transmission of real-time and locations-based information into a vehicle by using car-to-infrastructure-communication.
Organised together with the European projects CVIS and SAFESPOT in the outside area of ITS World Congress, near to the eastern entrance of Stockholm international fair visitors were able to participate in a short public demonstration drive of a COOPERS equipped vehicle in the nearby roads of Stockholm were vehicle traffic management information, like road work warnings or dynamic speed advice were experienced.
Approximately 300 visitors tested the COOPERS System during those four days by participation of a test drive through Stockholm.

Besides the Public Road Tour Coopers also participated at the Common EC stand with a “virtual drive”, with a high quality traffic video on a large screen in front of the vehicle and a synchronized in car animation of the respective traffic signs and warnings.
